Who am I? Most of the images in this post contain cultural elements which are of big importance in my life. I am half Guatemalan and half Mexican and I am the daughter of two proud immigrants who started their life here in Virginia. I included a picture of my mother's hand next to mine because she is the biggest influence in my life, she gave me the work ethic I have today, and without her sacrifices, I wouldn't be the same person I am today. The images of the medicine on the table are a representation of how sick I often tend to get. The scrubs laid out and the equipment next to it are a symbol of who I want to be when I grow up, I want to be a nurse. Specifically a NICU nurse. The yellow leaf next to my yellow hoodie simply represents my two favorite things which are fall and the color yellow.
